Today HM Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom became the second longest reigning monarch in British history (59 years and 110 days). King George III's reign has now dropped down to third place. The queen is set to overtake Queen Victoria's record of 63 years and seven months in September 2015. Still a long way to go, though, but at present the queen seems to be in excellent health, so let's hope that she will be able to make the record!
